How to Install XAMPP for Linux in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

" ufw allow ssh "

1.Download www.apachefriends.org .

2.After download change the permission :

cd ~/Downloads
sudo su
sudo chmod 777 -R xampp-linux-x64-1.8.3-4-installer.run
./xampp-linux-x64-1.8.3-4-installer.run

 

3. Now need to change the permission for htdocs :
cd /opt/lampp
sudo chmod 777 htdocs

create one demo.php file and write code :

echo “Hello World !”;
?>

4. To start the XAMPP service :

sudo su
/opt/lampp/lampp start
exit
exit
5. To stop the XAMPP service:
sudo su
/opt/lampp/lampp stop
exit
exit
6. To open the page of XAMPP, whenever you want, type in the address bar of your browser:
http://localhost/phpmyadmin/
 
# apt-get install php5-cli

Creating application

7) Open the console/terminal, navigate to %yii-framework-path%/framework (in our case the full path is

cd /opt/lampp/htdocs

Yii Framework 1.1.x Download github.com

# tar -xzvf yii-1.1.17.467ff50.tar.gz

# mv yii-1.1.17.467ff50.tar.gz /opt/lampp/htdocs/yii
# cd /opt/lampp/htdocs/yii/framework)
8) Enter the following command in order to create web application./yiic webapp ../../product9) You’ll be asked with yes|no; enter yes====== Windows 7 =======D: \> cd xampp
D: \ xampp> cd php
D: \ xampp \ php>

php.exe D:\xampp\htdocs\yii\framework\yiic webapp D:\xampp\htdocs\product

http://localhost/product

10) The application is created and you can access it on

http://localhost/product

http://localhost/product/index.php?r=gii
